Privacy Policy — Curio Sort: Cozy Collector

Wise Guy Games LLC ("we", "us") makes Curio Sort: Cozy Collector (the "Game"). This policy explains what information is used when you play and the choices you have.

The short version

  • You don't need an account. Your progress is saved on your device and backed up to Unity Cloud Save, so you can restore it on a new device if you sign in (with Apple on iPhone and iPad, or with a Unity account on Android).
  • The Game is free and shows ads from our advertising partner, Unity LevelPlay, and the ad networks it works with.
  • Ad partners may use your device's advertising identifier and basic usage information to show and measure ads. You can say no.
  • We use Unity Analytics to understand how the Game is played (for example which levels are too hard). You can switch it off, and in the EEA, UK and Switzerland it only runs if you agree.
  • Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.

Information we handle

Game progress and cloud backup. Levels, stars, shine dust, settings and purchases you've made are saved on your device. They are also backed up to Unity Cloud Save (part of Unity Gaming Services), linked to a random player ID that Unity Authentication creates for your install.

Signing in (optional). If you choose to sign in (Settings → Sign in with Apple on iPhone and iPad, or Sign In to Save Progress with a Unity account on Android), your backup is linked to that account so you can restore it on another device. With Sign in with Apple we don't ask for your name or email; Apple only gives us an anonymous identifier. A Unity account is managed by Unity under its own privacy policy.

Advertising. To show ads, the Unity LevelPlay SDK and its partner networks may collect:

  • your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking; Advertising ID on Android)
  • device information (model, operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP address)
  • ad interaction data (which ads were shown or tapped)
  • diagnostic data (crash and performance information)

They use this to deliver ads, limit how often you see them, measure performance and prevent fraud. See Unity's privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy

Gameplay analytics. The Game sends gameplay events to Unity Analytics (Unity Gaming Services): levels started, finished or abandoned, moves and time taken, boosters used, shine dust earned and spent, ads watched, items bought (product and price, never payment details), settings changes, and basic device information (model, operating system, country, app version). Each install gets a random analytics identifier that isn't linked to your name or accounts. We use this only to improve the Game. Purchases. When you buy an item, Apple or Google processes the payment and tells the Game which item you bought so we can deliver it. We don't receive your name, card or billing details.

Notifications. If you allow them, the Game schedules a local reminder on your device when a new Daily Puzzle is ready. No server is involved.

Your choices

  • iPhone/iPad: you can allow or deny tracking when asked, and change it any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
  • In the Game: Settings → Share Usage Data turns gameplay analytics on or off. Settings → Privacy Choices lets you choose personalized or non-personalized ads. If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we ask for your choice before any personalized ads are shown.
  • Delete your data and account: Settings → Delete My Data (or Delete Account & Data when you're signed in) erases your progress on the device, deletes your cloud backup and deletes your player account. You can also email us to ask for deletion. Turning off Share Usage Data stops analytics collection and asks Unity to delete the analytics data already collected from your device. Children

The Game is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
